Epilepsy can cause severe damage to a person due to sudden seizures, it can affect relationships, work, driving and many other things that are carried out in day to day life.

It is very important to understand why, when or what can trigger a seizure. Trying to find out the reason that can trigger seizure can help you in being prepared for the situation. It does not have to be very precise, but keeping a list of things that can trigger you is always beneficial.

Some people observe that their seizures triggers at a specific time of the day or night, doing too much work or overtired, flashing bright lights, excess alcohol or drug intake, too much stress, hormonal changes, low blood sugar due to skipping of a meal or eating less, particular food, etc.

There are some simple home remedies that can help you with Epilepsy.

  • Epsom salt has magnesium content and this is very helpful in controlling the electrical impulses in the brain. Magnesium also reduces the risk of seizures. Hence, try to include Epsom salt in your everyday diet.
  • Low level of sodium in the body can cause brain cells to swell and leading to seizure. It is beneficial to drink plenty of fresh fruit juices and water.
  • Take 1 bowl of crushed ash gourd and squeeze its juice. To this juice, add licorice powder to it. Mix this well and drink it once every day.
  • Drinking 1 glass of milk every day is very effective.
  • Take 100 ml each of milk and water in a vessel. Allow this to boil for 10-15 min. Now add a few crushed garlic cloves to it. Drink this once every day for effective result.
  • Take 1 teaspoon Brahmi juice or powder of the root of Vacha or both together. Mix this with honey and drink it twice or thrice daily.
  • Take 1 gm garlic paste with 5 ml til oil every alternate day.
  • Take 3-6 gms of the powdered root of Mulathi mixed with 1/2 cup of ash gourd juice everyday.
  • Massage head and souls of feet with Brahmi amla oil or sesame oil.
  • Take 30 ml saraswatarista after meals 2 times a day.
  • Take 100 mg apasmarantaka rasa with honey 2 times a day.
  • Take 1 gm each of vacha Churnajatamansi Churna and 100 gm of smritisagara rasa with honey twice daily.
  • Take 10 gm mahakalyanaka ghrita with sugar and cow’s milk 2 times daily.
  • It is advised to have cold bath daily and a light exercise.
  • Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Light and easily digested food should be taken.
  • Try to maintain smooth and regular bowel movements. You can take 3/4 teaspoon Triphala churna with warm water every night before going to bed.
  • Take some fresh Brahmi leaves and chew them daily. After chewing, try drinking 1 glass of milk.
  • Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatments like Virechan, nasya, and Basti if performed with the right ingredients can bring faster recovery.

Maintaining a proper diet is very essential. Avoid eating oily, spicy food, drink plenty of water or fresh fruit juices. Green leafy vegetables are very good. Beneficial Home Remedies for Constipation

Having difficulty in passing stools? Is it 4-5 days that you had passed stools? Not feeling like eating, not feeling comfortable, feeling like there is lots of gas formation?

You have all symptoms of potty problem which is Constipation. Yes, Constipation is a condition which can cause a lot of trauma to an individual.

Constipation is related to bowel movements that are infrequent or irregular and difficult to pass. It is a very common problem in infants and some adults. Everyone goes through this painful phase at least once in their life time.

Constipation starts in the large intestine where metabolic waste is accumulated and is eliminated. Food that we take passes through the colon or large intestine where all water is absorbed while forming stool. The muscle contraction in the large intestine helps to push stool to the rectum. The stool that reaches the rectum is now dry, solid and hard as all water has been absorbed. This causes difficulty while passing motion.

It is recommended to pass stool once in the morning and once in the evening. This is more often required for vegetarians, as their food contains more of roughage content. People have adapted to a lifestyle where passing motion in the morning has been fixed. The most important fact is that everyone has to pass motion every day. Stool is not only the by-product of food, but the waste is also formed from the blood. These metabolic wastes have to be removed from the body as it can cause lots of discomfort in the abdomen. The wastes if not eliminated can cause problems like wind formation, heaviness, loss of appetite. It can also lead to other problems like headache, insomnia, and high blood pressure.

Constipation is also associated with some diseases like asthma, bronchitis, chronic cold, and tonsillitis. Once Constipation problem is solved the other diseases also look to disappear.

A weak digestive system, irregular eating habits, not drinking enough water or any other fluids, less fiber diet, no exercise, etc. are some common reasons that lead to Constipation. Heavy food like oily, fatty food is not easily digested and lead to undigested food. A lifestyle that involves eating very late in the night, in front of television is all reasons for Constipation. Apart from eating habits, some of the mental factors like stress, anxiety, jealousy, depression, fear, etc. can also lead to Constipation.

There are some simple home remedies that can help you deal with Constipation.

  • It is recommended in Ayurveda to take Triphala churna daily. Take 1 or 2 teaspoons of Triphala churna mixed with 1 cup warm milk. Add honey or sugar for taste if required. Take this every night before bedtime.
  • Take 20 gm Triphala churna and boil it in 16 times water in a vessel. Boil till the water reduces to 1/4th its content. Strain the water and drink it.
  • You can also have Triphala chruna by soaking 1 teaspoon Triphala churna in 1 glass water overnight. Next morning strain the water and drink it. You can add honey to taste if required.
  • Take equal quantities of dried ginger root, long pepper, black pepper, and black salt and grind them well to form a fine powder. Take 1 teaspoon of this powder with lukewarm water and 2-3 teaspoon psyllium husks every night before going to bed.
  • Take equal quantities of celery seeds, cumin seeds, and asafetida. Grind them well to form a fine powder. Take 1/2 teaspoon of this powder 15 min before meals every day.
  • Take 1 glass lukewarm water and add 1-2 teaspoon honey to it. Drink this 3-4 times a day.
  • Take 1 glass lukewarm water and squeeze 1/2 lemon into it. Add 1 teaspoon salt to it and mix it well. Drink this every morning empty stomach.
  • Take 1 glass warm water and add 1 tablespoon isabgol. Mix it well and drink it every night before going to bed.
  • Take 1 glass warm water and add 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed powder. Mix them well and drink it every night before going to bed.
  • Eat 1 or 2 oranges every night before going to bed.
  • Take a handful of raisins and soak them in water overnight. Next morning, eat them empty stomach. It gives great relief from Constipation.
  • Take some fresh figs and boil it in 1 glass of milk. Drink this warm mixture every night before going to bed. Figs are high in fiber and also a natural laxative.
  • Eat flax seeds every morning along with your other cereals or eat a handful of flax seeds with water every morning. Flax seeds have high fiber content.
  • Take 1 spoon castor oil and drink it every night before going to bed. If you cannot tolerate the taste, you can mix it with 1 glass warm milk and drink it.
  • Drink 100 ml spinach juice mixed with equal quantity of water twice everyday.
  • Take 2-3 sunflower seeds, few flax seeds, till or sesame seeds and almonds. Grind them well together to form a fine powder. Take 1 tablespoon of this powder everyday for a week. You can also mix this powder with other food and eat it every morning.
  • Drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day is essential to the body. Try to drink warm water morning and at night before going to bed.
  • Try to add jeerahaldi and ajwain for food that is being prepared. These are some condiments that help in digestion.
  • Take some dates and soak it in milk. Pound them to form a paste and have it with milk for a week.
  • Take 1 teaspoon ghee and mix it in 1 glass of hot milk. Drink this every night before going to bed.
  • Take 1/2 cup of cabbage juice twice everyday.
  • Avoid drinking tea, coffee or alcohol.
  • Eat 1-2 fresh and ripe bananas every day.
  • Prepare fresh ginger tea and drink it hot.
  • Try to eat 2 apples with peel on an empty stomach.
  • Take 1-2 fresh carrot and prepare the juice out of it. Drink this juice everyday.

Eating more of fresh fruits and vegetables, normal or simple exercise, drinking more of fluids or water, maintaining a proper timings for each meal and following it, eating light and easily digestible food, stress free and relaxed mind are some simple steps to avoid Constipation. It is normal to shed some hairs as the old hair strands fall off and give way to new hair strands. Similarly, it is normal to have gray hairs after a certain age. You have to take extra care of your hair when you see excessive Hair Loss or premature Graying. This is an indication that your hair needs care or proper attention.

According to Ayurveda, the aggravation of pitta dosha in body results in Hair Loss and premature GrayingPitta usually gets collected at the skin of the scalp resulting in excessive falling of hair and Graying.

Hair Loss or premature Graying are caused due to some of the reasons like stress, less nutrition to scalp due to improper diet, deficiency of vitamins like vitamin B, iron, copper, iodine, irregular cleaning of the scalp, using very hot water for washing hair, too much blow drying, excess use of hair color, and hereditary reasons.

There are simple home remedies to help you prevent Hair Loss and Graying;

  • Take 4-5 fresh Indian gooseberries or Amla. Cut them, remove the seeds and grind them well to form a paste. Apply this paste on scalp for 15-20 min and then wash it off with clean water.
  • Take 7-8 fresh curry leaves and crush them. Add 3 tablespoon coconut oil and heat this for 5-7 min. Massage the scalp with this oil when it is lukewarm.
  • Take 1 teaspoon lemon juice and add 2 teaspoon almond oil to it. Mix them well and massage it on the scalp.
  • It is advised to include curry leaves in your daily diet.
  • Take some Indian gooseberries or amla and cut them. Keep it under the sun for drying and once dried mix it with coconut oil and mix it vigorously till it becomes powdery. Apply this on scalp and hair.
  • Use Ashwagandha on the scalp to prevent premature GrayingAshwagandha helps in increasing melanin content in your hair follicles.
  • A decoction prepared with amla if applied daily can cure gray hair in 15 days. Prepare this decoction by soaking few pieces of amla for few hours. Add 1 spoon of eucalyptus oil and leave this mixture in iron container overnight. Apply this decoction with an egg, lemon juice and curd every morning on scalp and hair.
  • Grate some ginger and mix it with 1 tablespoon honey. Take this daily for preventing hair turning gray.
  • Take some coconut oil and lemon juice. Apply this on scalp for good results.
  • Massage your scalp with ghee or clarified butter twice a week.
  • Prepare a mixture of 2 spoon henna powder, 1 spoon fenugreek paste, 2 spoons basil leaves paste, 3 spoons coffee, 3 spoons mint juice, and 1 spoon mint juice. Regular application of this mixture on scalp is very good.
  • Take some henna leaves and soak it overnight. Grind it well next morning to form a paste. Now add walnut pulp to it and apply on scalp and hair.
  • Take some ribbed gourd and boil it in coconut oil for 3-4 hours till it turns black. Massage the scalp with this oil once cooled or lukewarm for effective result against Graying.
  • Regular use of brahmi oil helps in hair growth.
  • Massage your scalp with almond oil or olive oil regularly.
  • Take some fenugreek seeds and pound them well in water to form a paste. Apply this on scalp and wash it off after 40 min. Repeat this every morning for 1 month if it is suiting you.
  • Massage your scalp gently with warm castor oil and almond oil. Cover your head with hot towel to allow the oil to be absorbed into hair. Doing this twice a week is good for hair.
  • Take some lemon leaves and boil it in water. Once cooled, rinse your hair with this water.
  • Take 1 cup strong tea and add 1 tablespoon salt to it. Mix it well and massage scalp and hair with this mixture. Wash it off after 1 hour.
  • Extract the juice of onion and apply it on scalp for preventing hair loss, graying and baldness.
  • Take 1 gm black pepper and mix 1/2 cup curd. Massage scalp with this mixture. You can also add lemon juice to this mixture.
  • Take some chamomile powder and boil it in water for 20 min. Strain this water and after it cools down, massage onto scalp and hair.
  • In 1 cup water take equal portion of rosemary and sage leaves. Allow to steep and sieve the liquid to use as hair colorant. Direct application of rosemary oil is also very good for hair.
  • Take equal quantity of almond oil, lemon juice and amla juice. Apply this mixture on hair.
  • Take 3-4 pods of shikakai and 10-12 soap nut seeds to soak in 1 jug of water and leave it overnight. Next morning boil this and store it in a container as this can be used as a shampoo. Take some pieces of amla separately and soak it overnight. Next morning boil it and store it in a container. This can be used as a conditioner. This natural shampoo and conditioner helps prevents various problems of hair like hair fall, graying, dullness, etc.
  • Take some fresh guava leaves and pound them to form a paste. Apply this paste on scalp and hair.
  • Extract the juice from amaranth and apply it on hair.
  • Take 60 gm fresh henna leaves and add it to 250 gm mustard oil. Allow it to boil till the leaves burn. Apply this oil on scalp and hair once cooled or lukewarm.
  • Apply ashwagandha on scalp for treating gray hairs.
  • Try to take food that contains more of biotin like egg yolk, yeast, tomatoes, walnuts, soyabeans, carrots, cow’s milk, goat’s milk, cucumber, oats, almonds, etc. These help to slow down graying of hair.
  • Bhringraj if consumed or use of bhringraj oil is very good for hair.
  • Apply a mixture of bottle gourd juice with olive oil or sesame oil for premature Graying.
  • Clove oil and neem oil is good for treating premature Graying.
  • Prepare a decoction of black walnut and water. Apply this on hair and leave it for 30 min.
  • Apply arnica oil on scalp and hair to prevent Hair Loss and Graying.
  • Prepare a paste of mango seeds powder and amla powder. Apply this on scalp and hair.
  • Regularly drink 1 glass carrot juice to deal with Graying of hair.

Proper nutritional diet, drinking plenty of water, avoid blow drying, ironing, using harmful shampoos and conditioners, are some simple steps to protect hair from damage.   • Take 4-5 Indian gooseberries or amla. Cut them, remove the seeds and pound them well to form a paste. Extract the juice of amla from the paste. Take 2 teaspoon of amla juice and add 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder. Mix them well and drink it 2 times a day.
  • Take some cashew nuts and powder them well. Take 1 teaspoon of cashew nut powder and add it to 1 cup of warm milk. Mix them well and drink it every day.
  • Take 2 tablespoon brahmi or ashwagandha powder. Mix it in 1 glass water and drink it 2 times a day.
  • Take some fresh rose petals and add it to 1 cup of boiling water. Add some sugar and drink it.
  • Take 1 apple and eat it along with milk and honey. It helps to uplift your mood.
  • Prepare a tea made of Indian basil or tulsi and sage. Take 1/4 teaspoon tulsi and 1/2 teaspoon sage and add it to 1 cup of hot water. Drink this twice a day.
  • Blanch 5-7 rosemary leaves in 1 cup of boiling water. Add honey and wait for 3 min. Drink this water.
  • Take some avocado leaves and warm them up. Keep it on forehead.
  • Prepare mint tea and drink it. You will feel relaxed and better.
  • Take 1 teaspoon lavender leaves and add it to 1 cup of boiling water. Allow it to cool and drink this 3 times a day.
  • Take 10-12 basil leaves and mix it with yogurt. You can add some sugar if required and eat it.
  • Prepare chamomile tea and drink it to treat anxiety.
  • Drink 1 glass of lemon juice daily.
  • Take 5-6 almonds and soak it in water overnight. Next morning, peel off the skin and grind it well to form a fine paste. Add this paste to 1 glass of warm milk and mix it well. You can add some sugar if required and drink it daily.
  • Every night before going to bed take triphala churna with 1 glass of water.
  • Take 1-2 gm dry asparagus root powder daily.
  • Take 1 cup rice milk or soy milk, add 3 teaspoon oatmeal, almond, and dried fruits to it. Eat this daily.

Natural Home Remedies for Treating Piles

There are some health issues which people don’t like to discuss with others. People usually feel embarrassed to share it even if they are struggling and need help. One such problem or disease is Piles or haemorrhoids.

Piles or haemorrhoids are nothing but swollen blood vessels in or around anus and rectum. The increased pressure of internal or external veins around anus can cause Piles. The infection of internal veins cannot be felt until they become severe while the infection on external veins can be felt as there will be pain while passing motion.

Some of the reasons why an individual gets Piles are constipation, diarrhea, in pregnant women the increased weight of baby, increased blood flow, heavy weight lifting jobs, consumption of too much spices and condiments.

Piles usually affect people who have a long history of indigestion and constipation. Constipation can lead to hard stools which are difficult to pass and hence can cause severe discomfort leading to rupture of the swollen blood vessel.

Piles are usually observed in people around the age group 45-65. A less fiber diet, sedentary lifestyle where there is long hours of sitting in one position, no proper exercise, hereditary problems, and less water intake are some factors that can lead to Piles.

Here are some natural home remedies to help you in treating Piles.

  • Take 1 radish and pound it. Now add little milk to form a paste. Apply this paste in and around anal opening. After 15 min wash it off with water. Repeat it 2 times a day.
  • Take 1 tablespoon cumin seed powder and add little water to form a thick paste. Apply this paste on affected area and wash it off with clean water after 15 min. Repeat this 2 times a day.
  • Take 1 piece ginger and pound it to form a paste. Now take handful of mint leaves or podina and pound it well to form a paste. Take 1 teaspoon of ginger paste in which add 2 teaspoon mint leaves paste. Mix this well and squeeze it to extract the juice. Add 2 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon honey to it. Mix them well and drink this 2 times a day.
  • Take some sesame oil and apply it on affected area. Later do warm fomentation which means warm moist compress or sitting in warm water.
  • Prepare an ointment by mixing equal proportion of powdered long pepper and turmeric in cow’s milk. Apply this paste on affected area.
  • Try eating 4 figs twice a day in morning and evening. Soak 4 figs in water for overnight. Next morning eat those figs. Soak another 4 figs to be had in evening. Repeat this everyday for 4 weeks.
  • Take 1 tablespoon black cumin seeds. Roast them and mix it with 1 tablespoon unroasted black cumin seeds. Grind them well to form a fine powder. Take 1/2 teaspoon of this powder with 1 glass water once everyday.
  • Drink radish juice once in morning and night for good result. You can start with 1/4 cup and later increase it to 1/2 cup gradually over a period of 1 month.
  • Take 1 ripe banana and allow it to boil in 1 glass milk. Once it is boiled, mash it well and eat it 3-4 times a day.
  • Take some bitter gourd leaves and pound them well to extract its juice. Mix 3 teaspoon of this juice in 1 glass buttermilk and drink it on empty stomach every morning for 1 month.
  • Take 1 glass buttermilk. Add 1/4 teaspoon carom seed powder and pinch of salt to it and drink it.
  • Eat more of fiber rich fruits and vegetables.
  • Try to keep yourself active by doing some exercises.
  • Try to include curd or yogurt in your diet every day. Curd or yogurt helps improve digestion.
  • Take juices of lemon, ginger and fresh mint. Mix them well and add little honey to it. Drink this everyday for improving digestion.
  • Try to take more fluids either as water or fresh fruit juices everyday. Water content in body helps in digestion and also while passing stools.
  • Eat more of papaya, mango seeds, sesame seeds, rice, wheat, bitter gourd, turnip, radish, ginger, onion, etc.
  • Take 1 teaspoon castor oil and mix it with milk. Drink this everyday to help soften stools making it easier to pass.
  • Extract the juice of turnip leaves and drink it.
  • Take some olive oil and heat little. Apply this warm oil on affected area.
  • Take some flowers of tamarind and extract its juice. Drink it to see effective results.

  • Take some turmeric and some fresh neem leaves. Grind them well together and apply it face to remove Acne and its scar.
  • Take some fresh podina leaves and pound them well to form a paste. Apply this on face. Podina or mint leaves helps to relief inflammation, patches and blackheads. Also, it helps to remove dry dead cells from skin helping the pores to be open.
  • Take 4-5 cups water and allow it to boil. To this add 1/2 teaspoon of whole cumin seeds, whole coriander seeds and whole fennel seeds. Allow it to steep for 10 min covering it with lid. Strain the tea and sip it throughout day. Next morning prepare fresh tea. Drink this regularly for 3-6 months to get good results.
  • Use a clay mask regularly as it helps to keep the pores open.
  • The toxins accumulated in liver and blood can cause Acne. Hence drink 1/4 cup aloe vera juice every morning empty stomach. To make it taste better, you can add 1/4 cup pomegranate juice.
  • Take 75-150 mg guggul which is an ayurvedic herb to improve digestion and hence helps to remove toxins from body which cures Acne.

  • Aloe vera is a very powerful herb. Take 1 aloe vera leaf and extract its gel from inside. Apply this gel on the infected area and leave it for 30 min. Later wash it off with water and repeat this twice a day.

  • Rinsing mouth thoroughly with warm salted water can help in removing oral infection.

  • Chances of Yeast Infection are more if our body immunity is weak. So try to avoid intake of medicines that can weaken our defense mechanism.

  • Garlic has natural antibiotic, anti fungal and anti bacterial property. Take few pieces of garlic and grind it well. Apply this paste on affected area.
  • Chewing garlic every day is also very good.
  • Take tea tree oil mixed with 1 teaspoon olive oil or water or almond oil. Mix it well and apply this oil on affected area several times a day.
  • For vaginal infection, take a tampon and put few drops of tea tree oil on it. Insert it into vagina for 2-3 hours for 2 times a day.

Note- this procedure is not applicable for pregnant woman as the contents of tea tree oil can affect the baby.

  • Take some boric acid and dilute it by adding some water to it. Apply this diluted boric acid on affected area and allow it to stay for some time. Wash it off with water and repeat this for 2 weeks daily.
  • Take some 2-3 calendula leaves and pound them well to form a paste. Apply this paste on affected area twice or thrice daily.
  • Prepare a tea using calendula leaves and drink it.

Note- If you are pregnant, kindly avoid this method.

  • Drinking 1 glass of buttermilk daily is very effective.
  • Have a proper balanced diet with more of fruits and vegetables.
  • Sweet content or sweet products have more chances of increasing the yeast growth in body. Hence try to avoid eating food that has more sweet content.
  • Taking Triphala churna every day is very effective.
  • Eating immunity enhancing and antioxidant herbs like tinospora cordifolia, asparagus racemosus and emblica officinalis are very effective.
  • Herbs like neem and turmeric are very good against Yeast Infection. You can either apply on affected area or try eating it.
  • Maintain a proper hygiene. Also try wearing underwear that is made of cotton.

  • Cold liquids can help to numb the throat, so you can have cold liquids for relief from pain.
  • Take 1/2 teaspoon salt in 1 cup warm water and gargle it.
  • Take 1 tablespoon lemon juice and add 1/2 teaspoon each black pepper powder and salt. Mix them well and try to heat a little. Take this mix lukewarm once every day for good result.
  • Take 1 glass hot water and add 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder to it. Mix them well and wait till it is lukewarm. Gargle this water 2 times a day for good result.
  • Prepare tea with grated ginger and sip it hot.
  • Take 2-3 cloves and add it to boiling water. When the water is lukewarm, gargle with this water for reducing cough.
  • Take some garlic pieces and pound them well to form paste. Extract the juice of garlic from this paste. Add 3-4 drops of this juice into 1/2 or 1/4 glass of water and drink it.
  • Add 1 spoonful of cider vinegar into water and use that water for gargling.
  • Soak sliced white onions with honey for overnight. Next morning take 1 tablespoon of collected syrup 3 times a day.
  • Take 1 teaspoon turmeric powder and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt to 1 cup warm water. Gargle several times a day with this warm water.
  • Take some fresh tulsi leaves or basil leaves and add it to boiling water. Once it is warm drink this water. You can also gargle with this water.
  • Take 1 teaspoon each of fennel seeds, black pepper corn, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and dry ginger. Grind and mix them well. Add the powder to 2 cups boiling water for 5-6 min. Strain the water and drink it hot or warm.
  • Try drinking hot and sour chicken soup to relieve pain and you get proper nutrients.
  • Inhaling steam is also very effective. Try placing humidifiers in room. Inhaling the fumes of eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil is very effective.
  • Take 1 tablespoon honey, 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne, 3 clove and grated garlic. Mix this well and try to chew and swallow 1/2 teaspoon of this mix every half an hour. This helps to kill the bacteria that cause Strep Throat.
  • Drinking lot of water will help you stay hydrated. It also helps to moisten sore throat. Try taking only liquid diet like soups, yogurt, ice creams.
  • Gargling several times a day with herbal tincture of Echinacea is very effective.
  • Try taking licorice, slippery elm or marshmellows as it reduces inflammation and irritation. For better result, try having it together.
  • Tincture prepared from barberry, coptis, Oregon grape root or golden seal is very effective. Take 15-20 drops in 1/4 cup of water 3 times every day for 10 consecutive days.
  • Take some kava kava herb and add it to boiling water. Allow this water to become lukewarm and then gargle with this water.
  • You can either chew sage leaves or extract its juice and drink it.
  • Tea prepared from chamomile is also very effective in treating Strep Throat.

  • Take equal proportion of coriander seeds, fennel, basil, turmeric and amla. Grind them well to form fine powder. Try having 1/2 teaspoon this powder 15 min before lunch and dinner.
  • Eat 1 teaspoon amla powder with water in morning and evening.
  • Take handful of fresh tulsi leaves and pound them well to form a paste. Apply this paste for 10 min for 4-5 weeks to get rid of Pimples.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of honey and mix it with 1 tablespoon freshly extracted lemon juice. Apply this mixture for 10 min on Pimples and on scars that are formed due to it. Try not applying it on aggravated Pimples as it can cause severe inflammation. Repeat this process 5-6 times a week for effective results.
  • Slightly dry roast cinnamon and grind it well to form a fine powder. Take some cinnamon powder and mix it with honey to form a paste. Apply it for 10-15 min for 5-6 times a week.
  • Neem leaves are found to be very effective in treating Pimples. Take some fresh neem leaves and pound them well to form a paste. Apply this paste on affected area. If you don’t get fresh leaves you can take some dried bottled neem leaves and steep it for 10 min in warm water. Make a paste of this and apply it.
  • Take some sesame seeds and soak it in little water overnight. Pound them well to form a paste and apply it on affected area and leave it for 10 min. You can also use sesame seeds powder to make a paste.
  • Try applying potato juice or tomato juice on face for 10 min and then wash it off with water. This gives a natural mild bleaching glow to the face.
  • Take some fresh mint leaves or podina and soak them in little water. Pound them to form a paste and apply it on affected area. Mint leaves provide cooling and astringent affect to the skin. Regular use of mint leaves can also help with fading off Pimple
  • Take some nutmeg or jaiphal and grind it to form fine powder. Mix this powder with little water or milk to form a paste. Apply this paste on face for 10 min and then wash it off.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to help body’s self cleansing and self purifying systems to be in good working condition and thus it helps protect skin from toxicity.
  • Eating foods that contain high contents of beta carotene like carrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe, other yellow orange fruits and vegetables are effective in treating Pimples.
  • Take some cucumber juice and mix it with carrot or lettuce juice. Apply this on affected area.
  • Apply 1/2 cup aloe vera pulp on affected area twice a day.
  • Take some fresh fenugreek leaves and pound them well to form a paste. Apply this paste on face and then wash it off later with warm water. Doing this every night before going to bed helps in removing scars.
  • Apply almond oil if you have dryness or inflammation of skin.
  • Take some juice of raw papaya and apply it on face.
  • Apply tea tree oil on face for effective results.
  • Take some marigold and grind to form paste. Mix it with wheat germ oil and apply it on face.
  • Prepare a mix of oatmeal and honey. Apply this mix on face.
  • Take 30 ml aloe vera amla juice daily 1/2 an hour before breakfast.
  • Take 50 ml neem decoction once daily on empty stomach for treating Pimples.
  • Take 5 -10 gm of Triphala churnam daily to help purifying blood which helps in treating Pimples.
  • Take some cherry seeds dal and grind them to form fine powder. Take some powder and add little butter, little honey to form a paste. Apply this paste on face and allow it to dry. Wash it off with clean water. This helps in reducing big Pimples and marks.
  • Make a paste of turmeric stick with water and add 10 tulsi leaves, 1 camphor tablet to it. Pound them well to form a paste and apply it on Pimples Next morning wash it off with warm water.

Keep your face clean by washing your face with clean water to remove dirt or oil. Increase the use of herbs that have cooling effect on your body. Always make sure you don’t keep touching or scratching your face. Drink lots of water and coconut water to keep you hydrated. Make sure you cleanse, moisturize, hydrate and scrub your face regularly.   • If Nervousness is not letting you sleep, try having valerian herb in evening before going to bed.
  • Try taking 1 teaspoon lemon balm powder to calm your mind.

  • Take omega 3 fatty acids as it is good for heart and for Nervousness related problems.
  • Take 10 pieces of almonds in a vessel with little water to soak it overnight. Next morning, pound it well to form a paste. Mix this paste with 1 glass milk and little ginger. Drinking this mix daily before going to bed is very effective.
  • Orange is a very effective fruit that can help internally as well as externally. Inhaling the smell of orange can help in changing the mood levels. Drinking orange juice with little honey is also very good.
  • A regular exercise is very for body and mind. Exercise keeps the body fit and relieves a person from Nervousness of falling sick.
  • Try taking herbs like passionflower or hops for not more than 1 month. This herb is a sedative that can help relieve nervous restlessness.

Please note – Herbs like passionflower, hops, valerian, kava, lemon balm, or any other sedative herb should not be taken along with other prescription sedative.
