Home remedies for Frigidity

Basically, the word “frigidity” is used to define the presence of very little amount of sexual initiation and response. It is applicable to both the genders, but it is found to be more prevalent in women.

Frigidity can be caused by a number of factors, types of which include physiological, psychological, or even pathological factors. The factors are listed as follows:

Psychological:

  • Anxiety/fear/depression
  • Sexual abuse in the past
  • Conflict between partners
  • Guilt

Physiological:

  • Pregnancy
  • Menstrual cycles
  • Lactation
  • Postnatal period
  • Menopause
  • Birth control pills
  • Hormonesfrigidity-home remedies

These are not all in the list of factors that cause Frigidity. As any problem would have, Frigidity is associated with symptoms of its own. This can be simply summarized in the fact that a person suffering from Frigidity loses interest in making love with his/her partner and cannot enjoy even if the partner is a real turn on.

From the Ayurvedic point of view, there exists an Ayurvedic method of treatment that can help solve this problem through a series of step. The treatment occurs in three stages, these are:  the intake of digestive herbs that help improve the overall health of a person, elimination of any toxic substances present in the body and lastly, provision of a useful energy drink or rather “tonic” that may help revitalize. Other common methods preferred by many today include herbal treatments and spiritual advice.

Some simple lifestyle tips can really improve the standard of health and prevent the chances of “frigidity” to ever happen. These range from simple diet related tips to lifestyle-related advice. When talking about diet, whole wheat flour and brown rice are preferred to their unhealthy counterparts that are white flour and white rice. Increasing the intake of fresh fruits, and some dry fruits such as pistachios, raisins and figs could really help. As surprising as it may sound, spices are known to be a sex drive booster, and so one would want to increase the usage of spices some of which are sage, anise, parsley and fennel.

Changing your lifestyle isn’t easy, for anyone. But one can avoid the worst by taking the simplest of precautionary measures such as avoiding smoking, alcohol and high caffeine drinks such as coffee and tea. A massage with sesame oil will prove really effective as it results in nerve stimulation and the reviving of muscular robustness.

People usually have to go out of their homes and then pay for some new remedy to prevent illnesses or problems, but it turns out, that there a number of home remedies (for frigidity) that one can take up right from their home. A few of these are:

  1. Mixing three tablespoons of banyan tree root (in powdered form) with half a cup of milk and drink.
  2. Five to six nights after the menstrual flow has stopped, one can add two teaspoons of powdered winter cherry (Ashwagandha) to a cup of milk and drink.
  3. Add one spoon of grated ginger to a cup of milk and then boil it. Heat at low intensity for 15 minutes. Have it every day either at the beginning or at the end of your day.

Home Remedies for Insect Bites

This is something that is pretty common and can happen anywhere and at any time. Insects are present everywhere, indoor and outdoor. Some insect stings aren’t too harmful and some stings lead to diseases.

When stung, the most immediate and common symptom would be “irritation” near the area where the person has been stung. It may swell, become red in color and can itch for hours. Adverse reactions such as choking can also occur depending on the insect. Although most insect bites are not harmful, one must take a person’s initiative in tackling insect bites in the right way, to prevent acquiring any disease or becoming a victim of a severe skin reaction.

When bitten, there are certain Do’s and Don’ts. Follow these, and you will be free of any insect-ridden problems.insect bite treatment

DO’s

  • When you are stung, on the arm or leg, the first thing to do would be to lower that part of the body in order to prevent spreading of the venom.
  •  Later, to reduce swelling, elevate that part of your body.
  • Whenever your body moves, the venom spreads faster and so, it is advised that you stay seated or rest on your bed.
  • If the area is getting bigger, swelling rapidly and becoming redder, it would be best if you went to a doctor immediately for medical attention.
  •  If the person has been stung in areas such as the mouth or throat, or the person appears to be going through an anaphylactic shock, visit a doctor as soon as possible.

DON’Ts

  • The most common reaction to a bite is to scratch that particular area. Well, the truth is, you shouldn’t. It only worsens the problem and increases the risk of infection.
  •  If you try to experiment with the area where you have been stung, such as rubbing or squeezing, things will only get worse. If blisters are formed, do not break them.

Home Remedies:

Tackling this problem at home isn’t difficult and there are a number of home remedies that one can adopt to help tackle insect bites and stings:

  • Remove the sting and wash it with water using some soap or antiseptic hand wash.
  • Soak a cloth in cold water and apply on affected area and press gently.
  • Baking Soda – apply it on the affected area and it will help neutralize the acidic nature of the sting (being basic itself)
  • Crush basil leaves and apply the paste on the affected area.
  • Turmeric and sandalwood – apply  half a teaspoon of each to the wound for healing and a soothing sensation.
  • Neem –  mix neem powder with water to create neem paste and apply it at site of wound for 15 minutes.
  • Banana – the inner part of a banana, i.e. The inner skin when rubbed on the site of bite, helps reduce swelling and irritation.
  • Coriander – take 2-3 teaspoons of coriander juice and apply on site of the bite. To make the paste, add and crush coriander leaves and mix with one-third cup of water.

Insects will obviously never stop biting, so it’s best if you take precaution, follow the Do’s and Don’ts mentioned above and you will never have problems with insect bites and stings.

Vata Dosha
Vata diet – Know what to eat and what not to

People with the Vata dosha are the one who are good of strength; they are agile, restless and have a fast metabolism rate. They have little muscle development with protruding joints making them very active and energetic. This is why they always have to maintain a very healthy diet and a lifestyle full of exercises to support their agility. Their skin is dry and rough which looks as if deprived of any nourishment. It is therefore recommended to take a vitamin and mineral supplementing diet for providing energy and nourishing the skin.

All those energetic qualities that come with your Vata dosha can be given a form by just sticking to the diet. It is very significant to know what to eat and what not to, to stay away from diseases and stomach disorders.

  • You should eat more sweet food. Warm, moist and heavy food works best for you. Bitter food is not for you. Dry, cold and light food should be avoided. You can have vegetables like asparagus, avocados, carrots, beets, eggplant, olives, leeks, radish, pumpkin, spinach, sweet potato and zucchini. But you should eat less frozen or raw vegetables like peas, sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, corn, cucumber, celery, mushrooms, lettuce, and potatoes.
  • Apricots, cherries, banana, peaches, fresh figs, mangoes, dates, citrus fruits, papaya, pineapple, grapes, plums, and berries are the healthiest choice for you in the fruits category. But fruits like dried fruits, pears, apples, prunes, melons, cranberries and pomegranates are not that good for your digestive system.
  • Grains like rice, wheat, pasta and oats should be taken in more quantity and others like buckwheat, barley rye, millet, corn, puffed or dry cereals, and rice cakes should not be eaten more.
  • Soy and mung beans are good for you, but navy, kidney, pinto, Lima, lentils, split peas, black and white beans are not that good for you.
  • Dry or roasted nuts and even smoked nuts are not good for you. Nuts in moderation like the sunflower, sesame, and pumpkin seeds should regularly be eaten.
  • Powdered milk and ice creams may not be the best option for you, but you can have some dairy products in moderation. Other than corn oil, every oil is great for your health especially sesame oil.
  • In herbs and spices, asafoetida, caraway, basil, sage, clove, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, garlic, fennel, ginger, onion, turmeric and nutmeg can have the best effects on your health. But avoid coriander seeds, parsley, and fenugreek seeds.
  • In beverages, warm drinks like warm milk, fruit, and vegetable juice (without ice) and herbal and spiced tea are best for you. Coffee, tea, cold or iced drinks, carbonated drinks, and alcohol, should be avoided as far as possible.
